This area has been designed with conifers and flowering woody shrubs that are appropriate ingredients to the garden beds found next to the foundations of houses. These plants will:

• Provide at least two seasons of interest, which may include blooms, evergreen foliage, autumn color, or interest for pollinators.

• Demonstrate low-maintenance plants as substitutes for over-used shrubs such as barberry, yew, and boxwood.

• Be limited to a maximum height of approximately 4 feet.
