Provides subject matter expertise and training in pesticide safety with an emphasis on horticultural weed science. Serves as the Illinois Pesticide Review (IPR) newsletter and Pesticide News blog editor while writing, collecting, and organizing material. Writes articles for the Home, Yard, and Garden Newsletter. Co-coordinates social media information for the PSEP program and ensures its timely publication. Other interests include herbicide injury and invasive species.

Earned a Master's degree from the University of Illinois in Weed Science. Joined the University of Illinois Pesticide Safety Education Program in 1999. Is a member of the American Association of Pesticide Safety Educators, the Weed Science Society of America, the North Central Weed Science Society, and serves on the board of directors for The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance.
