University of Illinois Extension is hosting a Southern Illinois Conservation Workshop at Shawnee Community College on Saturday, September 21. This workshop will include sessions on different conservation management topics presented by experts in their fields. Three tracks are included this year (Conservation Basics, Systems Management, and BMP/Technical Assistance). Topics for this year include: Bat conservation for landowners, tree identification, invasive species, prescribed fire, financial/technical assistance programs, soils, pond management, bobwhite, timber harvest, forest health, chainsaw safety, wetlands trail building, and others!
Registration is $20, lunch included.
