Do you ever wonder why the sky is blue?  Or why the sun is red in the morning and evening?  Learn more about these beautiful atmospheric optics and other interesting visual wonders at the Sky Spectacles Seminar on Saturday, March 7.

During this free, informative workshop, visiting Environmental Stewardship and Energy Extension Educator Duane Friend will discuss what causes rainbows, sun dogs, mirages, glories, coronas, and other unique atmospheric optical phenomena.

This workshop will take place on March 7 at 10:00 a.m. at the Jackson County Extension office at 402 Ava Rd., Murphysboro, IL. This program is free to the public but registration is required as seating is limited. To register, call Maggie Ray at (618) 687-1727.
