This year’s county contest will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2020 beginning at 9:00 am (specific presentation times will be assigned) in the Conference Room at the Extension Office.  Register online to participate at: https://go.illinois.edu/loganspeaking  Registration ends April 3rd.  Classes this year (with time limits of 4-8 minutes) include Formal Speech (Original Oratory or Topical Response), Illustrated Speech, Original Works, and Oral Interpretation.  Three 4-H presentations will be selected to move on to State Public Speaking event on Sat. August 15th at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.  Youth may participate in this contest AND exhibit a project at the Illinois State Fair.  If you have questions, call Patty at the 4-H office (732-8289).
