Green infrastructure is a cost-effective, resilient approach to managing wet weather impacts that provides many community benefits. Through Greening Up: A Green Infrastructure Series, Horticulture Educator Austin Little will explore the important role green infrastructure systems plays in improving the built environment by managing storm water, reducing energy costs, increasing green space, and many other benefits.

The series kicks off with a general overview of sustainable practices and examples of green infrastructure including green roofs, green walls, rain gardens, and permeable pavers. The subsequent webinars will take a closer look at each area. There is no cost to attend but registration is required.

University of Illinois Extension provides equal opportunities in programs and employment. If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in programming, contact the webinar organizer. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for meeting your needs.
