Experience the solar eclipse and support 4-H!
Do you want to witness the solar eclipse on April 8, 2024? Do you need a camping spot and would also like to support the Franklin County 4-H clubs? We have you covered!
The Franklin County Fairgrounds is right in the path of the Solar Eclipse! The estimated viewing time is 2 p.m. for 4 minutes and 9 seconds of totality. Individuals can stay in one of the campsites with funds supporting Franklin County 4-H youth development programming. Options include:
- RV hookups
- Covered tent camping
- Open-air tent camping
The prime location is also perfect to explore the beauty and nature of Southern Illinois with many attractions nearby. Individuals can check in as early as noon on Saturday, April 6, and must check out by 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9.
