Whether your goal is to have a colorful yard full of orange this fall or you want to grow the biggest pumpkin you can, now is the time to start thinking and planning for it.

Join University of Illinois Extension Local Foods and Small Farms Educator Grant McCarty as he takes you through how to grow pumpkins successfully. Grant will touch on the ins and outs of setting up your pumpkin patch, selecting the right variety of pumpkin to reach your goal, and managing diseases and insects in your patch.

This program is part of the Spring Break Gardening Series. The final program in the series, Herb Planters will take place on May 16.

The program is being offered free of charge but pre-registration is required due to limited seating.
