HERRIN, Ill.— Williamson County 4-H will host a youth bicycle workshop on Monday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Herrin House of Hope.
Bicycling is a lot of fun but accidents happen. During this free workshop, local youth will learn about general bike safety, bike maintenance and repair and road rules to make riding safe and fun. Youth do not need to have a bike to participate in this workshop.
This workshop is one of the many fun, hands-on workshops provided by 4-H. Through 4-H, young people complete projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and citizenship in a positive environment while they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles.
This workshop is open to youth ages 5-18 and you should reserve a spot no later than Wednesday Oct. 9, 2019. For more information or to register, please contact Esther Waddy at (618) 993-3304 or ewaddy@illinois.edu.
University of Illinois Extension provides equal opportunities in programs and employment. If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in programming, contact your local registration office. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for meeting your needs.
