Walk & Learn

Make physical activity fun and walk with us!  Walking is an excellent and accessible form of exercise that’s free. Aim for 150 minutes per week of moderate physical activity or 30 minutes a day!

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, immediate benefits from physical activity include:

  • Improved sleep quality
  • Reduced feels of stress or anxiety (hello, mood booster!)
  • Lower blood pressure

Extension has created colorful signs with activity challenges and nutrition and physical activity tips to encourage you to move more. Visit Carlinville Plaza in Carlinville or Wock Lake in Jerseyville and follow the signs around the walking paths, learn something new, and feel better with a casual stroll.
