Be your own scientist and explore the wacky and wild side of chemistry by participating in some simple experiments. Participants will learn about the basics of chemistry through experiencing some common reactions, like elephant toothpaste, fire snakes, and making slime!
Each session is open to ages 8-18. Participants can choose either session (both sessions will have the same content).
- Morning Session (9 - 11 a.m.)
- Afternoon Session (1 - 3 p.m.)
Each participant will receive their own pair of safety goggles, lab coat, and booklet of science experiments for them to take home. Close-toed shoes are required. It is recommended that long hair be pulled back or secured.
If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate, contact Sara Marten, marten1@illinois.edu.
