We all know that at some point we must begin planning for the end of our lives.  Making plans for your estate and end-of-life decisions allows you to take control of your affairs, protect your loved ones, and feel a sense of security in an uncertain world.

The Richland County Homemakers Education Association, in conjunction with University of Illinois Extension are offering a 4-seminar series where we hope to make some of these seemingly burdensome tasks simple, comprehensive, and accessible.  These sessions will be held the first four Mondays in October (October 3, 10, 17 and 24) at the Olney Public Library, and are free to attend.

During the seminar series we will hear from local professionals who will provide information and advice in the following areas:

  •         Hospice/Advanced Directives
  •         Funeral Preparation
  •         Investment and Financial Planning
  •         Identity protections and vehicle titling
  •         Legal documents and obligations
  •         Insurance
  •         Banking

Monday, October 3, 2022: Session 1 – Hospice and Funeral Planning

Monday, October 10, 2022: Session 2 – Investments/Financial Planning and Secretary of State/Driver’s Services

Monday, October 17: Session 3 – Legal Information and Insurance

Monday, October 24: Session 4 – Banking and overview of previous sessions

This program is FREE for all attendees.  Registration is recommended, but not required. Registration details are below. If you have questions, call the Extension Office at 618-262-5725.

This class is for all members of the public and not restricted to Richland County residents.

Neither the Richland County HEA or University of Illinois Extension endorse any of the above speakers. This event is information only and speakers will not be offering their services at the event.
