Farming is stressful.
Local farmers care for their communities, which we know can take a toll on them. From unpredictable weather patterns to the rising cost of goods, farming is stressful. Growers may struggle with stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, indecision, or suicidal thoughts, but help is available! The Weathering the Storm program helps farmers and local growers understand the signs and symptoms of chronic stress. Family Life Educator Robin Ridgley leads the program, and she will share resources on handling stress for a more productive mindset on the farm.
The program is free, but we ask that you register. Visit go.illinois.edu/WeatheringTheStorm or call (618) 687-1727 to reserve your spot.
