Preserve your garden from year to year with seed saving.

You don’t need to run to the store each year for a fresh batch of seeds. Seed saving is a great way to continue your garden from the plants and flowers you already have. Saving seeds also allows you to select particular characteristics you might like to cultivate by choosing fruits or plants with those traits. In this program, we'll cover:

  • Methods used to collect seeds
  • Seed storage techniques
  • Seed stratification process

The program is free, but we ask that you register. Visit go.illinois.edu/HomesteadingSeedSaving or call (618) 687-1727 to reserve your spot.
