Improve the health of your soil with cover crops.
The quality and quantity of your garden harvest is directly correlated to the condition of your soils. Cover crops, used at various times throughout the year, can benefit not only your soil but your future harvests.
In areas where you would like additional garden beds next year, use cover crop seed, elbow grease, and water to establish and jumpstart those garden beds this fall, winter, and early spring 2025. The program will cover:
- Building soil organic matter
- Adding nitrogen
- Scavenging nutrients
- Suppressing weeds and more!
This lunchtime program begins at noon. The webinar is free, but we ask that you register. Visit go.illinois.edu/GardeningCoverCrops or call (618) 687-1727 to reserve your spot.
