Join the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners in McHenry County for a presentation by Bob Zeni “The Chicago Tomato Man” on Tuesday, June 3, at 5:30 pm. Bob has had numerous speaking engagements and television appearances regarding his business and non-profit charitable donations. In 2024 he donated more than 1200 heirloom tomato plants to more than a dozen charities. Bob will be telling us about many of the heirloom varieties he grows and give us tips on transplanting and the general ongoing care of these plants.
The program is free of charge and open to the public. It is to be held at the Farm Bureau building: 1102 McConnell Rd, Woodstock, IL. Please arrive at 5:15 so we can start promptly at 5:30. The program is expected to last an hour. Bob will be taking questions after his presentation. Questions? Email dahlfors@illinois.edu or call (815) 338-3737.
