Illinois Extension serving Edwards, Lawrence, Richland, Wabash, and Wayne counties is hosting the Rethink and Recall seminar, led by Extension Health and Family Educator Robin Ridgley. Both seminars in Olney and Lawrenceville will feature the following topics:

Hold That Thought!
Have you ever gone into a room and couldn’t remember why you went in there? Have you ever misplaced your keys or cell phone? Have you ever forgotten what you were about to say? If you answered “yes,” you are not alone! Everyone forgets things now and again; forgetfulness is common for people at all stages of life. This workshop will look at the memory process and what researchers say contributes to brain health, as well as strategies for helping with everyday forgetfulness.

Navigating Change as We Age
Change can be hard. Everyone is aging, and many changes happen along the way—physically, mentally, and financially—in about every aspect of our lives. Join us as we examine some of those changes, how the brain reacts to change, and how to adopt a mindset that is more accepting of change. This can result in improved well-being and possibly new opportunities!

Participants of all ages are encouraged to attend.

The seminars will be hosted at the following times and locations:
