Boat Regatta

Join us on Wednesday, June 10, for an evening filled with imagination, collaboration, and fun! You and up to three friends are invited to design and build a boat from unconventional materials.

What you need to know:

• Design and build out of cardboard and duct tape.
• Race for the fastest time.
• The entire boat must be made out of the materials provided, except for paddles and decorations.
• No outside materials can be used for construction.
• Only adults at the event are allowed to use knives.
• No more than four per team while constructing.
• One group member will be allowed to sail alone.
• Boat sizing: 3 feet wide x 5 feet long.

Participant Rules:

• During the sailing, the crew captains must remain on the boat.
• No towing, swimming, or using life jackets to support the boat. Please bring your own life jacket. A few life jackets may be available upon request.
• Throwing water is an automatic disqualification.

Safety Precautions:

• Every participant must wear a life jacket.
• The crew compartment cannot be enclosed.
