Join us on Wednesday, June 10, for an evening filled with imagination, collaboration, and fun! You and up to three friends are invited to design and build a boat from unconventional materials.
What you need to know:
- Design and build out of cardboard and duct tape.
- Race for the fastest time.
- The entire boat must be made out of the materials provided, except for paddles and decorations.
- No outside materials can be used for construction.
- Only adults at the event are allowed to use knives.
- No more than four per team while constructing.
- One group member will be allowed to sail alone.
- Boat sizing: 3 feet wide x 5 feet long.
Participant Rules:
- During the sailing, the crew captains must remain on the boat.
- No towing, swimming, or using life jackets to support the boat. Please bring your own life jacket. A few life jackets may be available upon request.
- Throwing water is an automatic disqualification.
Safety Precautions:
- Every participant must wear a life jacket.
- The crew compartment cannot be enclosed.
