Discover how practical, on‑farm conservation can strengthen both your land and your bottom line. This educational program will explore conservation practices that keep nutrients where they belong—on your fields—and highlight cost‑share opportunities available in your area. Participants will learn how to use basic farm financial documents as powerful decision‑making tools when evaluating management options. Whether you're curious about reducing nutrient loss, interested in the economics of conservation, or looking to build confidence in financial analysis, this day is designed to empower you. All are welcome—bring a friend and spend the day learning, connecting, and exploring how conservation can benefit your farm.

Topics will include:

  • Overview of the Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy
  • Conservation practices that can save your nutrients
  • A walk-through of applying for cost-share programs
  • The cost of conservation
  • Lunch provided
  • Using farm financial documents to make tough decisions (Materials approved by Annie’s Project)
  • Illinois Extension and Illinois Sustainable Ag Partnership resources
