ATTRA - National Sustainable Agriculture Information Service
Organic Resources. These resources offer guidance in preparing for certification, and in production methods for a range of organic crops and livestock. Many of these publications were developed in response to producer questions, and they deal with issues related to specific products, as well as production methods, marketing, and organic certification requirements.

eOrganic
eOrganic provides scientific, experience, and certification based information on organic farming for farmers, extension agents, agricultural professionals, and the general public. For example, we have articles, videos, webinars, and an ask-an-expert service, all of which are free, peer reviewed, and checked for compliance with organic certification regulations. Topics include dairy farming, soils, weed, disease, and pest management, and vegetable production, as well as organic certification and marketing.

eXtension – Organic Agriculture
eXtension is an interactive learning environment delivering the best, most researched knowledge from the smartest land-grant university minds across America. eXtension connects knowledge consumers with knowledge providers - experts who know their subject matter inside out. This site provides information about organic agriculture, including dairy and vegetable production, as well as a wide-range of general topics. The site also includes ask an expert and webinars.

International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM)
Our mission is ‘leading change, organically’. This means that we work toward true sustainability in agriculture, from the field, through the value chain to the consumer.

Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service (MOSES)
The Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service (MOSES) provides a diverse menu of FREE and affordable resources for farmers interested in learning more about organic farming. From our Resource Directory to our Organic Fact Sheets, we strive to provide farmers with the most up-to-date information out there. MOSES resources are available, many of them FREE, thanks to the generous contributions of our supporters.

Organic Consumers Association
The Organic Consumers Association (OCA) is an online and grassroots non-profit 501(c)3 public interest organization campaigning for health, justice, and sustainability.

Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI)
OMRI reviews brand name products used in organic agriculture and processing, and determines if they meet USDA organic regulations. Products that are "OMRI LISTED" have had detailed information submitted for review and pay a fee for this service. Not all NOP allowed items are OMRI listed, but many are present. Certification agencies can accept all OMRI listed products or may wish to review the products on their own. Always check with your agency before using a new product. Check the OMRI website for their listed products.

Organic Research Farming Foundation (OFRF)
Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF) has a very clear vision -- that organic farming will be the leading form of agriculture in America. OFRF cultivates organic research, education, and federal policy that brings more farmers and acreage into organic production. Founded in 1990, OFRF is a leading champion of American organic family farmers.

Organic Seed Alliance
Supporting the ethical development and stewardship of the genetic resources of agricultural seed. Accomplishing goals through collaborative education and research programs with organic farmers and other seed professionals.

Organic Trade Association (OTA)
A membership-based business association for the organic industry in North America. OTA's mission is to promote and protect organic trade to benefit the environment, farmers, the public, and the economy. OTA envisions organic products becoming a significant part of everyday life, enhancing people's lives and the environment.

Rodale Institute
Rodale Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to pioneering organic farming through research and outreach.

The Organic Center
Generates credible, peer-reviewed scientific information and communicates the verifiable benefits of organic farming and products to society. The site includes information about the State of the Science, as well as a newsletter and organic resources.

USDA Agricultural Marketing Service National Organic Program (NOP)
The NOP is a regulatory program housed within the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service. We are responsible for developing national standards for organically-produced agricultural products. These standards assure consumers that products with the USDA organic seal meet consistent, uniform standards. Our regulations do not address food safety or nutrition.

USDA Economic Research Service (ERS)
ERS conducts research on: Organic practices, adoption, and costs of production Organic certification Organic trade and policy The characteristics of the typical organic buyer Organic food distribution and retailing

USDA's Alternative Farming Systems Information Center (AFSIC)
Offers resource lists, directories, bibliographies, databases, and research tutorials on organic production, marketing, and foods, including a directory of marketing resources, and bibliographies on organic livestock production and the evolution of organic and sustainable agriculture.

Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms, USA (WWOOF-USA®)
Is part of a worldwide effort to link visitors with organic farmers, promote an educational exchange, and build a global community conscious of ecological farming practices.
