Christian County 4-H donates blankets to Taylorville Memorial Foundation

(L to R) Raedena Ryan, Executive Director of Taylorville Memorial Foundation, and Alexis McDowell, 4-H Youth Development Program Coordinator, presents Raedena with blankets to be given to patients.

Taylorville, Ill. - On Dec. 7 and Dec. 9, the 4-H Youth Leadership Team hosted a Christian County Community Service Workshop at the Christian County Extension Office. Our 4-H Youth Leadership Team and 4-H members in the county donated fleece material to make blankets. Local youth participants came to the office to help make tie blankets and we recently donated them to Taylorville Memorial Foundation. The blankets will be given to patients throughout the hospital. “Our youth participants really enjoyed making tie blankets, and we hope they provide comfort to patients at Taylorville Memorial Hospital. We are looking forward to holding this workshop each year”, stated Christian County Youth Development Program Coordinator Alexis McDowell.
