Edwards County 4-H Feeding & Growing Our Communities/Meal Packaging Event

Edwards County 4-H youth, along with volunteers, of the community, will be packaging rice meals on Saturday, March 7, at the COUNTRY Financial Hall, at 10:00 a.m.  This event is a collaboration with Illini Fighting Hunger. This experience has been organized to help our local community. The meals packaged will be distributed to local food pantries and organizations that are reaching out to help individuals and families that are in need of food.  4-H is answering the call to help struggling families in their local communities through the 4-H Feeding and Growing program.

Food packaging is accomplished through a team effort.  If anyone ages 8-adult, would be interested in joining this community project, please call the Extension office at 618-445-2934 or register on the Extension website at HTTP://EXTENSION.ILLINOIS.EDU/ELRWW.  This will be both an exciting and rewarding experience.
