Industrial hemp summit to take place in January

University of Illinois Extension in partnership with American Hemp Research will be hosting an Industrial Hemp Processing Summit in Roseville, Illinois. 

Join Extension Educator, Phillip Alberti as he kicks off the summit with a 2019 review of industrial hemp in Illinois. Midwest Bank and Thompson Insurance will cover what you need to know about financing and crop insurance.  American Hemp Research CEO, Andy Huston will cover the cultivation and harvest of this potential new cash crop for producers in Illinois. Phylos Bioscience will be on hand to present a cultivation overview, products and plant breeding. Followed by Marquis Energy that will cover extraction.

The Industrial Hemp Processing Summit will take place on Monday, January 27 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Roseville Community Center.  The cost of the event is $10 and will include a baked potato bar lunch.  Registration is required to attend and can be found at https://go.illinois.edu/HempSummit
