University of Illinois Extension McHenry County Master Gardeners Offer Virtual Gardening Advice for Spring
Just Email uiemg-mchenry@illinois.edu
Spring is here, and this year most of us are at home looking out the window. As the weather warms, it’s time to get out there and work (play?) in the yard and garden. The University of Illinois Extension McHenry County Master Gardeners can help.
In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control/IL Dept. of Public Health/U of I recommendations, our local office hours and in-person programming is suspended. Our team and volunteers are working remotely.
So, if you have a gardening question, or need a plant, insect or disease identified, you can email, uiemg-mchenry@illinois.edu and a trained Extension Master Gardener will answer your questions at no cost.
By emailing uiemg-mchenry@illinois.edu, you can ask questions about vegetables, flowers, trees, shrubs, lawns, insects, landscaping, and composting. You can also attach photos of the plants, insects, or situations that you want to learn more about. Extension Master Gardeners can provide advice, identification, websites, and suggestions for insect and disease control.
The University of Illinois Extension also has an extensive website featuring gardening and horticulture information for homeowners at https://extension.illinois.edu/global/horticulture and the Lake/McHenry address is https://extension.illinois.edu/lm. You can also follow us on Facebook at McHenryCoMasterGardener.
