Ben Steele grew up in Champaign and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois. For the next 21 years, Ben taught in Champaign, Urbana, and Decatur Public schools, 2nd grade through 8th grade, including time teaching middle school math and time teaching in a Montessori school. Steele has been married since 2008 and has three daughters who all go to Montessori Academy for Peace.

Ben is very excited to get to work finding ways to positively impact the youth of Macon County.
