Christina Lueking is the Horticulture Educator serving Bond, Clinton, Jefferson, Marion, and Washington Counties. Chris received her Bachelor of Animal Science Production from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and earned her Master’s in Horticulture specializing in herb production on a green roof infrastructure.
Chris is responsible for horticulture programming with an emphasis on the home gardener, culinary herb production, cut flower production in high tunnel and field conditions, and community garden establishment.
Additional responsibilities include providing training opportunities, continuing education, advanced training, seasonal events, and organizing community outreach programs for horticulture and conservation assistance/education for the volunteers involved in the Master Gardener and Master Naturalist programs.
Chris is a member of the Illinois Extension Agricultural Association (IEAA), Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers, Illinois Specialty Growers Association, Jefferson County Farm Bureau, and Jefferson County 4-H alumni/leader.
