Debra Buchanan

Debbie Buchanan joined the Lawrence County Extension office in January 2007 as the office support assistant. She supports the local 4-H program and the unit’s 4-H educator while managing the office’s administrative functions. She graduated with her administrative assistant associate degree from Oakland Community College in Auburn Hills, Michigan. 

She moved to Illinois when she married her husband, who farms in Lawrence County. Together, they have two sons and four grandchildren. She enjoys working with 4-H and appreciates all the opportunities and benefits that are available for local youth.
