Macey Maxey serves as an Office Support Associate for the Coles County Extension, where she began her career in 2022. Before joining Extension, Macey was a daycare teacher, a role that ignited her passion for nurturing and educating young minds.

Raised on a small farm in rural Greenup, Macey spent much of her time caring for animals, especially cattle. Her deep connection to agriculture and community service grew from her 11-year involvement in Cumberland County 4-H.

Macey holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from National Louis University and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Agriculture Leadership, Education, and Communication from the University of Illinois.

In her free time, Macey enjoys exploring new places with her daughter, volunteering for 4-H, and working on the family farm.
