School Programs

Illinois Extension provides educators, parents and caregivers access to well-researched and field-tested resources and programs to engage and inspire youth, from early childhood to age 18.

Programs can be tailored to meet the needs of youth in many settings, including school classrooms, after-school programs, libraries and community centers. Topic areas include embryology, career exploration, agriculture, health, nature exploration, horticulture, visual arts and more.

NEW: Get Up and Dance!

Provide students a fun, approachable way to incorporate movement into their daily life with the new Get Up and Dance! 4-H program. Basic dance skills are presented through games and activities that help facilitate an increase in physical activity, encourage a healthy lifestyle, and decrease potential injury. Stretching, mindfulness, rhythmic movement and multiple dance styles are explored. Get Up and Dance! is designed for kindergarten through 5th grade students.
