Community Resiliency

Body

Community and Economic Development (CED) programming helps community leaders and residents build capacity to make timely and effective decisions, to use information wisely, and to engage the entire community in working together more effectively. Extension Educators design and deliver educational programs and technical assistance in a variety of settings, including workshops, small group consultations, and through online tools and resources.

The mission of University of Illinois Extension is to help communities drive creative and informed decision-making that enhances quality of life.

Would you like to receive notices of upcoming programs, events and webinars sponsored by Extension, as well as alerts about community and economic development topics? Sign up for our Community and Economic Development mailing list.

Check out the CED team's web pages for Community Planning and Economic Development.

Illinois Extension's CED team also collaborates with faculty at the University of Illinois' home campus to benefit communities and regions around the state.  For one example, review the I Rural Savanna Report, which summarizes a collaboration assisting a number of small river communities in Illinois with tourism development.
