Lydia Nickels serves as the Kane County 4-H Youth Development Program Coordinator. Lydia organizes, facilitates, and evaluates 4-H programming for youth aged 5-18, and assists the county’s adult volunteers. After serving as office support assistant for the DeKalb County Extension office, Lydia transferred to Kane County in the summer of 2023.
Lydia is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis where she majored in English Literature, and minored in Religion and Politics. From volunteering with the Elburn Lions Club to helping out on her family’s farm, Lydia enjoys immersing herself in the northern Illinois community, and appreciates her opportunity to give back.
