The Logan/Menard/Sangamon 4-H Ambassadors program empowers teen 4-H leaders with the knowledge, skills, and aspirations necessary to be effective advocates for Logan/Menard/Sangamon 4-H Youth Development.  Ambassadors’ current leadership abilities will be strengthened and expanded so they may serve as positive role models for younger youth; build meaningful partnerships with other 4-H teens, adults, and professionals, as well as community partners and sponsors; and promote the 4-H mission.

What is a 4-H Ambassador?
4-H Ambassadors are responsible for representing and promoting 4-H and assisting with county-wide 4-H activities.  A 4-H Ambassador is a motivated individual who seeks to become a leader, mentor, and teacher, inspiring positive change in their community.

Why should I become a 4-H Ambassador?
The Ambassadors program builds self-confidence, personal growth, communication, and leadership skills. You will have an opportunity to meet new friends, make new connections, engage in public speaking, enhance your portfolio and resume, and so much more.  County Ambassador teams plan their own year of activities to create meaningful learning and service opportunities for themselves and others in their communities.

How can I become a 4-H Ambassador?
Our Ambassadors meet the 1st or 2nd Tuesday every other month and on an "as needed" basis for planning or training at the local Extension Office, 6:00-7:00 PM.

  • Sangamon/Menard – October 4, December 6, February 7, April 4
  • Logan – October 11, December 13, February 14, April 11

Work with your local 4-H office if you are interested or have any further questions.
