Make plans to attend the Southern Illinois Regional Horse Bowl and Hippology Contest at SIU on April 6 at 8 a.m.
Demonstrate your knowledge of equine-related subject matter in a competitive setting where attitudes of friendliness and fairness prevail. The contest operates very similar to scholastic bowls at school, except all the questions relate to horses! Participation in regional contests is open to Illinois 4-H youth. Click here for a map of all regions. Those who qualify at regional competitions may advance to state competitions.
Participants do not need to have horses or be enrolled in the horse project to participate. Each event has a $5/person or $25/team fee. Please contact your local Extension office with questions or to register for your regional contest.
