Get ready to grow! Join the Champaign County Master Gardeners and Josh Roggenbuck of Walter’s Gardens for “Best perennials for 2024” on Tuesday, April 23, at 7 p.m. in the Extension Auditorium, 801 N Country Fair Dr., Champaign, IL 61821. This program is in-person only.

Josh oversees sales in the Midwest for Walter’s Gardens in Zeeland, Michigan. Walter's Gardens is North America's leading producer of perennial liner plants. They supply plugs and bare roots to nurseries, greenhouses, and mail-order companies in every state of the United States and parts of Canada. They also introduce approximately fifty new varieties each season. As the home of Proven Winners Perennials, their lineup is now over 200 varieties strong. So, our speaker will provide fascinating information on this growing number of perennials we all love to plant in our own home landscapes.

In this program, you will learn:

  • How to replicate plant choices and landscape design in your gardens.
  • Learn about plant choices and design features in the Mabery Gelvin Garden.
  • Learn about local natives growing in the Buffalo Trace Prairie
