Ready to build something with your own two hands? Join us for Teens with Tools: 4-H Style, a hands-on woodworking workshop where youth ages 12-18 will build a wooden American flag from start to finish.
Participants will learn woodworking skills, including measuring, cutting, assembling, gluing, and finishing their project with stain or paint. They’ll gain confidence using tools, develop problem-solving skills, and take home a handcrafted wooden flag.
The workshop will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lake Land College in the maintenance buildings near the south entrance of campus.
All materials and supplies will be provided, along with pizza and bottled water for lunch. Space is limited, and registration closes Oct. 30.
Whether you’re new to woodworking or have experience using tools, this is a great opportunity to learn new skills, create something meaningful, and have fun. Wear closed-toe shoes for safety.
