At Illinois Extension, we believe there is a better way. We call it the Illinois Extension neighborhood!
We provide expert, University backed programming and advice from people that understand. But how can they understand? Because they are your neighbors! Our experts work IN the community and our mission is to make your life better!

Having trouble getting our emails?
In a world filled with constant emails, it can be easy for things to get lost in the shuffle. If you want to make sure we land in your inbox every time, here are some simple steps you can take:
- Bring us to your main inbox: Many email services, Gmail especially, often have 1-3 separate inboxes. In Gmail, these are called Primary, Social, & Promotions. Due to the look of our emails, we often find ourselves in your Promotions tab. If you’d like to always see us in your Primary inbox instead, simply move us to your primary inbox by clicking and dragging & then choosing the option to always move us to your inbox (check out the video below for instructions!)
- Add us to your safe send list: Be sure to add us to your safe-send list to ensure we never go to spam! To find our emails, visit our staff page above OR, if you frequently receive emails from multiple people, simply safe-list the whole @illinois.edu domain.
