Local Voices. Lifelong Impact.

Our 2025 Annual Impact Report shows how research, delivered through strong local partnerships, creates real change across Illinois. For more than a century, Illinois Extension has worked side-by-side with communities to turn knowledge into action. Backed by an independent 10-to-1 return on investment, Extension creates lifelong learning by advancing one mission under one college to empower lifelong impact.

Lots of names, one mission.

Whether you know us as 4-H, classroom embryology, Master Gardener trainings, greenhouse school programs, afterschool robotics, Reading Buddies, or another program, Extension works behind the scenes.

Illinois Extension programs have different names because they create impact in many different areas — but they all have one thing in common: They are all implemented by Illinois Extension directly within Grundy, Kankakee, and Will Counties
