Learn about nature at Wee Nats (Wee Naturalists), a fun interactive program for youth ages 4-7. Youth will learn about different environmental education topics through a story, activity, craft, and hike. The Program is led by University of Illinois Extension 4-H Youth Educator Kelly Lafferty.  An adult must stay with the youth during the program. There is no charge to attend.
 
Program topics include: 
October  – An Animal's Tail
November  - Salamanders
December  – 3 R's (recycling)
January  - Tracks
February - Rocks
March  – Nature's Green Things
April  – Baby Animals
May  – Raccoons
 
Please dress according to the weather, as we will spend time in nature. 
 
Wee Nats is offered in three locations: 
East Dubuque - Second Tuesday of the month at 3:45 p.m.
Freeport - First Saturday of the month at 9:30 a.m.
Rockford - Second Monday of the month at 4 p.m.
