Edwards County 4-H Ambassador: Jake Wiseman

Hi! My name is Jake Wiseman. I have been in 4-H for five years and am a member of the Ellery Panthers 4-H Club as well as a 4-H Ambassador.
One of the cool things about 4-H is you get to choose projects that you are interested in. You can select as many projects as you would like but it makes sense to take one or two your first few years until you get used to it. I take two projects each year so that I can complete them both within the time allowed. This year, my projects are Poultry and Creative Writing.
My favorite 4-H project is Creative Writing. In Creative Writing you get to write your own story about any topic you want. I wrote mine on a topic I enjoy. This story was about Greek mythology. I spent a lot of time perfecting my story and was able to exhibit it at the 4-H General Show in July. The judge liked my story and I received a Best of Show Rating as well as qualified for State Fair, I enjoy Creative Writing because you can have fun and enjoy your writing.
