Logan County 4-H Foundation Presents 2019 Scholarships

Scholarship winners

The Logan County 4-H Foundation recently presented scholarships to five Logan County 4-H members and alumni at 4-H Night during the Logan County Fair. 

Katie Lynn, daughter of Kevin & Tina Lynn, a graduate of Lincoln Community High School receives a $500 4-H Foundation/Ross Conrady Memorial Scholarship.  She will participating in the Youth With a Mission Organization training this fall with future hopes to complete studies at a University in Mission Work.

Molly Schempp, daughter of Darin & Cindy Schempp, a homeschool graduate of Midwest Christian Academy receives a $500 4-H Foundation/Alice Jodlowski Memorial Scholarship.  She will be a freshman this fall at University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana with plans to major in Agriculture Leadership Education and Communication.  Her future plans are to become and Ag Teacher & FFA Advisor in Illinois.

Katlyn Helton, daughter of Pete & Kristen Helton, also a graduate of Lincoln Community High School, receives a $500 4-H Foundation Scholarship.  She will be a junior this fall at Southern Illinois University/Carbondale and majoring in Biology on a pre-med track.

Grace Skelton, daughter of Rusty & Stacie Skelton, another graduate of Lincoln Community High School, receives a $500 4-H Foundation Scholarship.  She will be a sophomore this fall at Southeast Missouri State University majoring in Nursing with future plans to become a Registered Nurse.

Sarah Irwin, daughter of Steve & Ann Marie Irwin, also a graduate of Lincoln Community High School, receives a $500 4-H Foundation Scholarship.  She will be a senior at Illinois State University this fall and majoring in Agricultural Teacher Education with future plans to be teaching junior high/high school agriculture.
