Molly Warner, a Knox County 4-H member has been selected to represent Illinois 4-H at the National 4-H Conference in Washington D.C. The conference, held March 28 - April 2, 2020, serves as the pinnacle experience in 4-H Civic Engagement providing the opportunity for young people to connect, learn, engage, lead, and impact their communities, their nation, and their world.
Warner says of the opportunity, “This amazing opportunity to attend National 4-H Congress will allow me to help solve problems in the real world by working with other 4-H teens from all around the country. I could not be more excited to see what National 4-H Congress will bring me!” Along with five other Illinois 4-H members, Warner will travel to Washington D.C. and explore topics relevant to youth and the 4-H program before sharing their insights with key decision makers.
As a member of the Williamsfield Town and Country 4-H club, Warner has participated in a number of projects including scrapbooking, visual arts, leadership, and consumer education. She has also served as club president, secretary, and historian. This year, Warner was selected to serve as the Director of Public Relations for the Knox County 4-H Federation Board as well as a 4-H Fair Media Intern.
“I feel honored to have been selected to represent Illinois 4-H at National 4-H Congress this year. I have been continually growing my involvement and contribution to 4-H that started when I was 8 years old,” says Warner. Throughout her time at this conference, Warner will utilize her lifetime of experiences to make a difference for her club, her community, her country, and her world.
