Alex Landberg is the Lake County Program Coordinator for the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener Program. Alex will also be launching and coordinating the Master Naturalist Program in Lake County, starting in 2025.

Originally from Northern California, Alex graduated with a Marketing degree from California State University, Chico and took a number of graduate-level courses in Non-Profit Management at Boston’s Northeastern University. Alex has spent the majority of his career in the non-profit sector, specializing in program and partnership development in both Boston and Chicago.

Alex is a volunteer with both the Lake and Cook County Forest Preserve Districts, focusing primarily on habitat restoration and volunteer coordination. He previously served as a board member of the Chicago Bird Alliance (formerly Chicago Audubon Society) .
