Jessie McClusky serves as the county director for Coles, Cumberland, Douglas, Moultrie, and Shelby Counties. Since joining Illinois Extension in January 2022, she has led a team of educators, program coordinators, community outreach workers, and office support staff to ensure the community's diverse needs are met through various programs and support services.

McClusky began her career at a park district, where she oversaw various community programs, including cultural arts, day camps, senior programs, and special events. She spent 10 years at a local community college focusing on non-credit short-term programs for career training and professional development.

McClusky earned a bachelor's degree in recreation and park administration from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in higher education administration from South Dakota State University. She is the chapter president of the Extension professional organization, Epsilon Sigma Phi (ESP), and a member of Leadership Illinois. She is a two-time winner of the LERN International Award for brochure design and was honored with the Forty Under 40 award in 2019 for her achievements in leadership and community involvement.

McClusky and her husband split their time between Shiloh and Monticello; they enjoy attending their children’s activities (softball, volleyball, competitive cheer, Girl Scouts, etc.); they are St. Louis Cardinals season ticket holders and enjoy exploring new places together.
