Penny Hood is a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Community Worker who joined Extension in December 2018. She offers educational classes and creates displays for low-income individuals and families at schools, churches, health departments, food pantries, and other locations. A native of Shelbyville, Penny’s favorite part of her work is helping young children and older clients adopt healthy nutritional habits.
