Forestry at Dixon Springs

The Extension Forestry team at Dixon Springs offers numerous outreach, educational, and training opportunities covering a wide variety of forestry and natural resources related topics. In addition to educational programming, we conduct forestry and invasive species research, maintain a demonstration forest and pollinator prairie, and produce maple syrup on site. Our mission is simple: to assist, advise, and encourage Illinois woodland owners to make informed management decisions for today, tomorrow, and the future. Watch for programs unique to Southern Illinois, or learn more at the state Extension Forestry website.
