Master Gardener volunteers of University of Illinois Extension Menard and Sangamon counties will hold an “Herb and Pollinator Plant Sale” on Friday, April 30, and Saturday, May 1, from 9 am to 1 pm. The event will be held at the U of I Extension office, 700 S. Airport Drive, Springfield. This year the event will follow COVID-19 safety precautions, including wearing a face covering and socially distancing.
A variety of herbs will be offered including: Basil- Sweet, Sweet Thai, Pesto, Purple, Greek Columnar; Curly and Flat Leaf Parsley; Thyme- French, English, Lemon; Scented Geranium- Pine, Lemon, Lime, Angels Perfume, Old Fashioned Rose; Rosemary; Lavender- Munstead, Provence; Sage- Common, Pineapple, Mexican Bush; Lemon Grass; Fennel; and Oregano- Greek, Kents Beauty. Pollinator plants that will be offered include Lantana and Salvia. Garden gloves will also be available for purchase. Questions call (217) 782-4617.
