Now is your chance to create a beautiful work of art.  Leaf Casting Workshops will be held Saturday, August 7, at 9:30 am, at Ken and Fran Hage’s, in Chatham. Cost of the workshop, includes all supplies is $20. 

Leaf Casting uses a leaf to make an almost perfect cast in “concrete”. Casts can be painted or left natural. Leaves will be supplied. Participants are welcome to bring their own leaf. Leaf should be strong, pronounced underside veins, have some stiffness and are single (e.g.: sunflower, elephant ears, hosta, hollyhock). Rhubarb has excellent venation but its extreme undulations and soft texture make it a challenge (which you may want). Moderately easy include squash and gourds.
