Master Gardener volunteers of University of Illinois Extension Menard and Sangamon counties will hold an “Herb and Pollinator Plant Sale” on Friday, April 29, from 9 am to 6 pm. The event will be held at the U of I Extension office, 700 S. Airport Drive, Springfield.
A variety of herbs will be offered including: Basil- Purple, Thai, Sweet, Pesto; Curly and Flat Leaf Parsley; Thyme- French, Lemon; Lavender- Munstead, Provence; Sage-Common, Pineapple, Mexican Bush, Variegated; Lemon Grass; Fennel; Dill; and Oregano- Greek, Kents Beauty.
Pollinator plants that will be offered include Lantana- several colors; Pentas- pink, red, white; Angelonia- white, purple, pink; and Salvia- Black and blue, red. Plants are priced at $5.50.
