Join University of Illinois Extension for Wellness Wednesday, a monthly series designed to inspire and empower individuals to make healthy choices and support their overall well-being.

Each session is led by Kris Juelfs, registered dietitian and Extension food and nutrition educator, and covers practical, nutrition-focused topics you can use in everyday life.

Ever wonder what’s really in your food? In this eye-opening session, we’ll explore the world of natural and artificial food chemicals and what they mean for the foods we eat.

Learn how to identify food chemicals, understand their role in food safety, and weigh the pros and cons of their use. From naturally occurring compounds to additives found in processed foods, you’ll gain practical knowledge to help you better understand food labels and make informed choices about what you eat.

Whether you’re curious about food ingredients or looking to make more informed choices, this session is for you!
