Hold That Thought | It's a No Brainer Brain Health Series

Have you ever gone into a room and couldn’t remember why you went in there? Misplaced your keys or cell phone? Forgotten what you were about to say? If you’ve answered “yes,” you are not alone! Everyone forgets things now and again, and this happens throughout life. Memory changes as we age, but forgetfulness is common for people at all stages of life. Join us on January 19 at 1 p.m. to explore the memory process and what researchers say contributes to brain health, as well as strategies for helping with everyday forgetfulness.

The It's a No Brainer three-part brain health series looks at the aging brain, memory and lifestyle factors that contribute to brain health. All program are held on Thursdays at 1 p.m. at the Williamson County Extension office at 1301 Enterprise Way, Suite 60, (next to Rural King), Marion, IL 62959.

January 26 - Fit Wits: Keep Your Brain Healthy and Engaged
Keeping your wits fit requires more than just doing crossword puzzles or word searches. There is increasing evidence that brain health is directly related to body health. This should come as no surprise since the brain and the body functions interdependently. However, most people think more about keeping their bodies fit or their hearts healthy than working at maintaining a healthy brain. Learn more about the aging brain and what you can do to keep your brain healthy and engaged.
